In Cottos defense( barely) he's fighting the number 1 ranked contender by the WBC ( as Golovkin is champ, mandatory yes but not ranked) so atleast he's fighting a ranked person or a kinda sorta mandatory. It's a good fight for him not the toughest guy in the division but a warm body at least. Would have preferred GGG( but I think that's called torture ****) or Bundrage for his IBF strap.

Is this a joke. GGG has destroyed a bunch of legit top 10-15 contenders like Geale, Murray, Macklin, Rubio, Stevens. Guys like Quillins, Martinez and Cotto have been unwilling to fight him Jim so who should he fight to step up his competition and "earn" a fight? Lol.
