The only time you see this happen is off HBO, when the lesser name makes an offer for a fight in his homeland, financed by some oil tycoon or similar
Loeffler literally said that Golovkin would want a large chunk of the purse to face Ward. Neither he nor Sanchez knew what Ward would want or what HBO would even put up for the fight but they blamed Ward's so called "demands" before any negotiations even took place

You are easily fooled by the smoke n mirrors from Team GGG. It's cute.

I think him getting 2m for a tuneup is a strong clue. Ward could have easily cleared any confusion by, you know, making an offer like a guy in his position would if he wanted a fight. Unless his asking price was too much for HBO, but doesn't look like it got that far.

What does "make an offer" even mean? Who makes the offer? Andre Ward himself? Why are you making up rules that don't exist?

HBO says heres what's available for Ward-Golovkin and the two sides negotiate a split.

It didn't get that far because Golovkin's team backed the *** down as soon as Ward said "lets make the fight".

Hopefully that doesn't happen again when Ward gets back on the scene.

Doesn't sound like we will get any of those fights anytime soon...

Froch should go up and try and land adonis Stevenson. It would be huge in Canada since froch is known as the "destroyer of bute", and adding a lineal lightheavy title would be icing on the cake of an already impeccable resume.. Having that title would quickly open doors for a lot of big fights for froch ie ward, hopkins, chavez, adonis rematch?

When he gets back on the scene he'll want it on ppv, as his people said. But that's not gonna happen if its too much risk for Froch, say. Why would the less advantaged names like Cotto, Canelo, Chavez try their luck on ppv?

Why is anyone still wasting their time with Dirk?

seems like chavez is the one he wants. Wouldn't blame him. Easiest fight and probably the most money.

I don't think moving up is a good idea for Froch.

Froch's main attributes are his toughness, his punching power & his chin. Those attributes would be significantly reduced against the big hitters at LHW.

Froch has called him out in the past though, before he moved up.

Is that what he said? That he would knock me out? Well, a tiger does not lose sleep over the opinion of a sheep - and trust me, Adonis will be a lamb to the slaughter. I wish him no harm, but if he comes to fight then he will be blitzed in a handful of rounds. My opponents have two choices when they fight me. They can either run, hold, and take a decision or they can actually fight and get smashed up."

With the greatest of respect, Adonis is not a fleet-footed fighter - he will come throwing those big bombs and we could have a nice little war
                    War Cobra!!
