Al Haymon isn't ripping off his fighters, he pays them more, guys are making more money with him...
This is all speculation, we have no idea what a guy is actually making at the end of the day. We don't know what services are being rendered for that fighter, we don't know what percentage of everything any promoter is actually getting including Haymon. People always love to focus on the big number and throw other promoters under the bus. For all Arum haters, Arum has decades! in the game, we don't have to like him, we don't have to love him....but no fighter ever under top rank has gone bankrupt and took to the media to say i'm broke because of Arum. And this is a man whose been in the sport how many decades? Oh that's right. I'm seeing a huge racial divide amongst boxing fans these days that's flat out sickening. You see it with Floyd, you see it with manny, you see it with Kovalev, you see it with GGG and now you see it with promoters. This isn't the financial times either, care about who a fighter is fighting instead of what their pockets look like.

Nobody ever complains about the money arum pays them, arum usually gets flak for his media antics and trash talking his own boxers who refuse to go along with his plans. He trash talked Mikey Garcia for not taking the gamboa fight, also trash talked Chavez Jr for ducking ggg and walking away from 12-17 million arum offered him for 2 fights. Both of them left because of that, not because he doesn't pay his fighters. He trash talked rigo until rigo left and he pretty much trash talked mayweathers style until he left too. He is responsible for the careers of every single pay per view fighter if today besides canelo. De la Hoya, mayweather, pacquiao, Marquez, Chavez Jr., and Miguel cotto were all thrust into stardom by top rank. Pacquiao and Marquez have stuck with arum, Miguel cotto did too until he was lured away, and the rest arum criticized them in the media so they left. Historically arum has always been the best paying promoter and didn't rob fighters unlike son king who robbed all his fighters, even taking 30 million out of mike tysons account while he was in prison. You dont have to like bob arum, but he doesn't screw his fighters out of money

As for Thurman/Guerrero, I don't know anyone who was hoping to see that matchup, not do I know anyone who thinks that Garcia-Peterson with no titles on the line is any big deal and most real fans of the sport I know are disgusted to see Quillin getting a shot at the title he so casually threw away last year without having so much as one fight since.
