Hope neither walks but if Kov does what will you say.

It will be interesting to see whether Haymon and Stevenson accept this fight. The only reason that Stevenson is considered relevant and fans have a desire to see him fight is because he has a championship belt and we wanted to see him fight Kovalev.
If Stevenson decides to go the route of Peter Quillin and vacate his championship to avoid a fight with Kovalev, he will end up fighting the rest of his career on PBC undercards. just like Quillin (who, incidentally, is irrelevant with or without a championship belt).

We don't know if the WBC ordered the fight as a result of Stevenson's promoter requesting it or if the WBC is simply trying to capitalize on a money-making opportunity. Regardless, Haymon could still squash the fight .if he doesn't want it to happen and overpay Stevenson for the rest of his career while Stevenson fights on PBC undercards.

It makes you wonder why they didn't order Mayweather to fight Pacquiao years ago.
I guess Chickenson will lose to Bika now

The real question is will Kovalev take a 50/50 split? What if he says you know this isn't last year. I feel I'm the bigger star now and I want more than a 50/50 split and decides to vacate his title shot. Is everybody going to call Kovalev a duck?

Kovalev is the guy who took something like 20/80 split against freaking Bernard Hopkins.
