You would rather him fight sam soliman? Soliman's ranked #7 "overall".

I'd rather have him fight someone with a pulse that is top 10. You know, the same standards I and many true boxing fans have for all the top guys in their division.

I don't really dislike Cotto. I dislike fan boys. Specially fan boys that change their thoughts once their favorite boxer does what they criticized.

As with all Cotto threads, I look forward to reading all the the well reasoned, sober opinions of posters who have 'boricua', 'PR', or 'Cotto' in their screen names as well as rican flags all over their sigs.

It makes for thought provoking reading.

Let me say the word "Margarito" around you dudes and watch how much GRRRRR it would produce.
I don't care about Margarito I don't hate the guy as a matter of fact I was rooting for him against anybody not named Cotto. Of course that was before the whole hand wrap controversy, but I still think the guy was a cool guy out of the ring and I also appreciate the moment he punked Floyd in public during his most feared fighter days. As for Cotto losing to Margarito as far as I'm concerned Cotto avenged that loss. Do I believe he cheated in the first fight I just believe it's a possibility. I remember a fight a while back in which some guys ear was nearly punched off his head and I THINK the opponent was Margarito.

It's funny that on one hand, peasants detract from Cotto's victory over Sergio, "he beat a washed up Middleweight," and yet expect the MW newcomer, to jump up to GGG. Cotto is smart and will fight a Heiland before he even thinks of testing this weight with a beast like GGG. He has to get acclimated to the weight. I do think Cotto will eventually fight GGG. Cotto is too proud win or lose.

The flaw in your post is that this implied "bias," can be found with ANY culture. Don't expect to see to many "sober" opinions on Canelo, Margarito or Rios from our Mexican friends. To kid yourself that bias is something only Ricans practice is akin to ******** thinking it's just the **********s that "lie..." The hypocrisy is pure comedy.

I find most people are incapable of seeing their own bias. They legitimize their bias so that it's easy to swallow but we see it too.

K9 is garbage. Heiland should be a good warm up show for a step up.
