      true but who isnt?

To be frank i know nothing of Heiland. However i prefer that fight only because if cotto fights him then it indicates an intent to fight GGG. Or at a minimum an intent to stay at middleweight...

Can't use it as a bargaining chip for Canelo or Floyd. If he gets by Heiland, he has to fight GGG or be stripped. If Heiland wins, he has to defend against GGG in his next fight. There are no ifs, ands or buts about it. I don't understand why some people have such trouble understanding this.

Will Cotto take a knee on purpose to get rid of Golovkins belt? That son of a bish.

So when will someone make an announcement? We have this thread that seems to confirm Heiland and another about there being nothing decided between Heiland or maybe K9. I really wish those 'various sources' could get their crap together and make up their minds.

I dont think they have trouble understanding it. I think most people, myself included, just have a heavy skepticism that as much as we would like the WBC to enforce the GGG mando, no matter what they say NOW there is no guarantee that they will actually do the right thing when the time comes. It wouldnt surprise me one bit if they came up with some nonsense to justify not stripping Cotto even if he refuses GGG next........

Only way they would justify him not fighting GGG is if he fought Canelo.

Cotto is smart and will fight a Heiland before he even thinks of testing this weight with a beast like GGG. He has to get acclimated to the weight. I do think Cotto will eventually fight GGG. Cotto is too proud win or lose.
You can flip the script: Cotto fans saying he legitimately beat Martinez and Sergio's legs were not an issue back then. But then they say it's ridiculous for Cotto to fight a full fledged MW in Golovkin. You get the idea.
