No reach at all. I'm definitely not a Cotto fan but as long as he is fighting a middleweight and defending his title, I am fine with it. Assuming that this is not at a catch weight of course. Heiland is a ranked MW and suitable for a voluntary defense.

If you were the WBC who would you want to promote the most? Someone who fights 4 times per year and keeps your title in the public eye, a fighter who everyone is talking about or someone who has not fought in the year since he won his title and who is rarely spoken of?

You are incorrect, Cotto has been spoken about constantly non stop since the deal with Canelo fell thru. Granted most of it has been in relation to fighting GGG and vice versa. In my opinion Cotto is much more popular the WBC is butt hurt because they granted Cotto the voluntary defense to fight Canelo and Cotto made other plans.

He is just ranked with the belt org, not a legit top 10 in the division overall. Funny how belt ratings never really mattered till now.
