At 140 he use to get rocked and dropped and since moving up to welter and higher, he has had better punch resistance.. I think going to 145 weakened that punch resistance..

Cotto was a live dog in the fight until manny caught him with shots he didn't see in the 3rd n 4th and that was basically the fight
the fight was done 2nd round when pac adjusted and started going over cotto's jab.

everytime he threw a jab, he ate a cross or hook.

then cotto will go to his corner and his trainer will say "JAB COTTO JAB"

      No....................................

Cotto just didn't have the style to beat that version of Pacquiao. Didn't have a notable right hand, doesn't variate his attack to the body, always seemed to lose steam as the fight progresses. Pacquiao's fight to win.

I thought cotto looked fine until the second kd.

After that he rode his bike but he still keeps getting caught with combos when he hangs around the ropes.

Cotto fans are being more annoying than floyd fans lately.

No, I have seen UFC fighters just recently weigh 174 for a 155 pound fight the day before the weigh in and sap all the water out. And still fight like a mad man the day of the fight.

you are only weight drained when you do not rehydrate, like Oscar De La Hoya fighting Pac at 147, Chad Dawson at 168 and Canelo fighting Floyd at 152 they didn't rehydrate properly and it cost them you could see it in the fight they could barely muster enough energy to move.

Cotto actually put up a good fight until Pac figured out his jab and countered him, it was back and forth, Pac had his eardrum busted and Cotto tried his hardest to hurt Pac.

              Not drained at all.

Was Cotto weight drained? Yes, but he would not have won the fight if the limit was 147lbs. Roach and Arum wanted to make sure Manny won.

                  ithink more roach than arum.

remember arum doesn't care as long as he got both fighters.

arum wouldve loved a pac-cotto rematch

I only said Arum because I believe he thought Cotto was done after the Margs beating.

                      No he wasn't at all.

He moved up to lightmiddle because of lack of opportunities, not weight issues.
