That's only because none of that exists currently though. There are European and Eastern European styles, though, we hear that often.

Back in the day there was an "Irish style" as well, there were actually a few African American fighters that even had "Irish" as their nicknames.

No, I haven't.... But I'm pretty sure a lot of those fans in the crowd were still cheering for GGG, come on bro. Lol

I do kinda see your point in your last post, though. There would probably outrage around the country if there was a fight with the promotional title: "Black Man Style." or "White Man Style"

(edit: good point by Natas too ^^^)

But once again.... The way they're "promoting" this is with nothing but respect to Mexican boxers. Listen to the way GGG says it for the first time- he's saying it with respect and admiration.

I agree, and honestly I am not sure what the guy is going on about, I am Mexican and I can tell you that most of us in fact prefer offensive minded fighters. I am not sure how that is an insult, offensive minded doesn't mean there is no skill involved. It's also a nationality not a race, not the same as saying "black-style".

It also doesn't mean that Mexican fighters can't have different styles. Obviously no one believes that. It's just that there IS the "Mexican Style" stereotype and it is what it is- in regards to that.

They can like whoever they like. Triple GGG is a fan friendly beast..After heiland Coptto must decide if he wants to continue at 160. Whatever Cotto decides on his legacy is set..GGG or no triple G

Yes you are correct that those are nationalities and not a race, sorry. But I see you do get my point to an extent. Honestly, Id think itd be safe to say "most" people of all races/nationalities prefer to see fighters that come forward (offensive minded) even stylist lovers would brag if their favorite boxer got into a dog fight and won by KO, guarantee they would brag. My beef with the whole Mexican style is not all Mexicans fight the same, its generalizing a "nationality" and their athletes by using a goofy looking Kazakhistani as a poster boy.

                  mexican is describing style.

mexican is not a verb in "MEXICAN STYLE"

now if i said "HE MEXICANNED THAT LAWN" or "HE'S MEXICANNING 5 KILOS OVER THE BORDER"

then it's verb. AND VERY OFFENSIVE. (PLS NO BAN)

Of course, but lets be real GGG does have a terminator type fighting style, he never stops hunting for the KO, and if we go by what "Mexican Style" usually means, he definitely fights with said style. I am not offended that's all I can say, maybe I would be if it was a lie, but he does fit the mold.
