So after over 30 fights he says mexican style unintentionally? And right after that he fights a Mexican on the west coast?Yeah right. He was obviously told to use that word in the interview to set up his first west coast fight. Dont be naive is a planed marketing tool they are using.
Is sad the way they are marketing GGG as an Honorary Mexican

GGG speaks broken Kazakhstan english, looks white as hell, and comes from Europe.
It'd be pretty hard to force people to adapt him as a Mexican. It's the fans coming to see him and you can blame Kellerman probably for this Mexican style crap. Although I think GGG and Sanchez say they try to guide themselves after Chavez Sr.'s fighting style.Comment

I'm just saying I don't think it's meant to be disrespectful, on their behalf. That poster said he was offended.
And I don't know, I think you may be reaching. They didn't have an agreement to have his next fight on the West Coast. At that time they were trying to build him up to sell tickets at MSG. How do you know that when he gave that interview, they already had him lined up to fight on the West Coast? Him saying Mexican style definitely could of been unintentional.Last edited by King_; 03-19-2015, 05:01 PM.Comment

It's smart promoting and it's working well. You seem to have some sort of agenda here. Trying to discredit GGG by attacking his promotion. A Cotto fan should have more respect for himself and the sport. You're very transparent.Comment
