Stevenson's cowardice will show when he goes against his own promoter's actions and vacates.

Haymon just won a purse bid for Dirrell-DeGale under the "Warriors Boxing Promotion" guise.

Fk man, it seems like he already has. Stevenson, Beterbiev and Alvarez all signed with Haymon.
If Haymon blocks the fight, Stevenson will be the one to vacate. If that happens, he may as well retire because his value will have been lost.

If they can ever link Haymon to any fight bid, he will be in violation of the Ali Act. I believe it is only a matter of time before this happens. The more purse bids come up, the more likely Haymon is exposed.

GYM is a promoter, not an advisor or manager. They have many fighters who have nothing at all to do with Haymon. Apparently the Beterbiev deal is not finalized and GYM never had anything to do with Alvarez who is not signed to Haymon, but to ODLH.

Surely though whoever wins the purse bid will air the fight on their respective tv channel, Ala Loma-Russell.

Haymon has deeper pockets so I see the fight going on sho or nbc.

Is the split 50-50 in a purse bid situation between these two?

Too big and expensive for NBC and it would have to be on a premium channel so that it can be PPV here in Canada like all Stevenson's fights.

Stevenson's got a longer yellow streak than a Herd of Diuretic Camels.

Of course not, Stevenson is the champion. 60-40 most likely.

For some reason, I remember something about it being 50-50.

If it's 60/40, then it probably explains why the Stevenson people are so eager for the purse bid.

Kovalev has got some big wins and has got 3 belts. His stock is much higher than the first round of negotiations. He won't be so keen to take the short end of the money.

Edit: It is 50-50 as I thought.

Mirage Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas - WBC light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson (24-1, 20KOs) is going to defend his title on Friday night against Dmitry Sukhotsky (22-2, 16KOs), but he'll be forced to take a much tougher challenge in 2015. The World Boxing Council has ordered that Stevenson will have to face the winner of the March 17th clash between WBO/IBF/WBA champion Sergey Kovalev (26-0-1, 23KOs) and WBC Diamond champion Jean Pascal (29-2-1, 17KOs).
