They'll probably spin it that Stevenson wanted the fight, but Kovalev and his handlers backed out. Anything to make it seem as if they were serious about fighting the Krusher.

GYM does not belong to Haymon, they existed long before Haymon was in the fight game. While Haymon is Stevenson's 'advisor' it was GYM who made the request to WBC to hold a purse bid. That tells me they are willing to have the fight on HBO. As far as the bid itself is concerned, Haymon is not a promoter and really has no say at all in the matter, he cannot bid on the fight. I used to know Yvon Michel personally and he will not sell his soul to Haymon either.
