"Krusher" Kovalev vs RJJ@ 168-175lbs/12-12.5 Stone. Who wins?

People are quick to talk about Jones chin but lack to state the facts that Kovalev has got hurt by wide swinging Pascal and dropped by much lesser opposition in Caparello. Jones at 175 before the move up to 200+ was showing such dominate performances many believed he was unstoppable at 175. A Prime 175 Jones Jr, finds wholes in Kovalevs offense (which in my view can often be one dimensional). Personally I'd go with Jones by TKO/KO mid to late rounds. Unfourtanitly Kovalev has yet to be in with Prime Elite opposition, after Stevenson (who isn't much better) or Ward (who posses a stylistic problem) I feel more fans will get a better assessment of what Kovalev's future as a ATG maybe. Till then, it would be idiotic to think a mans who's best win is against a 50 year old ATG (although still great at what he did, his age finally showed).

I feel the same with any current Boxer outside of the current greats who are soon to leave. Mayweather,Pacquiao, Klitchko, Hopkins, Jones, ect....

Time will tell, you're right about that. One thing is already really clear though; SK is a very smart fighter who is very tough and has great stamina. He is an A Level fighter. And so what if Pascal rocked him? He looked to be roided up that night as well. Why didn't you mention that? He was faster than normal and he punched like a mule, too. This is clearly not the Pascal who fought Hopkin's twice, now is it? Pascal is "suspect" as hell, man. SK kicked his ass despite it all thought, didn't he? LoL. But don't leave out all of the facts and details when critiquing things.

From what I saw In the Kovalev- Pascal fight, Jones would beat Kovalev rather easily. It would be target practice for Jones.

Roy is probably the best fighter I've ever seen, certainly live. And that includes Kovalev for sure.

You do realize RJJ relied heavily on athleticism right?

I am thinking how this fight would go and it's kind of a tough call.

On the one hand, RJJ might win by KO. On the other hand, he might win by TKO.

I voted too close to call right now. Two all time great light heavyweights and I'll get to watch Crusher crush some more light heavyweights. Jones showed a good chin right up to him being KOed by Tarver. His chin never seemed as good after that. Prime Jones had a decent chin in my opinion.

Kovalev is not even close to being an all time great yet. He's the best light heavyweight today and that's where it ends.
