GGG is over 30, with over 30 fights in the same weight division. He can move up and dare to be great. Especially when divisions are closer together.

So to your humble opinion GGG should move up to fight who exactly ? just moving up for the sake of it is really isnt smart isnt it ? when he is in line for the WBC lineal MW fight vs a mega star Cotto and a close Canelo fight , if he goes up and fight mediocre SMW ppl will call him out the same they do now , but will not point a finger towards the SMW that dont want to fight him now (Froch said so , Ward said he needs 3 fights and the rest never mentioned him, Chavez Jr backed off). you dont go up in weight without a big fight signed , thats how i see it , I`m very pleased with him figthing in his division vs :
Cotto (or just make him give him the belt).

rather then some mediocre SMW.
of course if the mega fight in SMW vs AW is available i will push for that as a fan , but i wont ask a fighter to go up in weight just for the sake of it if there is no big fight available. (you just dont see ANY elite SMW call him out to come and get it , none).

I haven't really seen Monroe's chin tested by a big puncher but I've seen him tagged plenty. And if that happens against GGG, I don't know.

I certainly wouldn't bet money on Monroe going the distance but i just think he'll be able to hang in there for 12. I'd be surprised if he made it competitive or anything like that

BTW does anyone know what weight the Darnell Boone fight was? i thought Boone was 168/175?

Funny. The first smw title was the IBF title in '84. Then the WBA and WBC did a smw belt after hagler retired.
