I would say any body rooting for GGG's failure is a little short sited. People are already clamoring for him and cotto, GGG-Canelo. But the future could be major ggg-chavez jr, ggg-ward, ggg- kovalev/stevenson, so many possibilities that I hope come to fruition some time down the road.

Lara is a proven world class fighter and would have been an excellent choice. and he is available. Monroe is a prospect who hasn't even had a 12 round fight yet.

GGG is an elite, pound for pound caliber fighter. If Mayweather fought Errol Spence or Felix Verdejo you guys would be throwing a fit. HBO, GGG and his team deserve criticism here.
Do you know what`s the difference ? you seem to ignore it all the time , if Mayweather wants you to fight him , you go up 2 weight class and do it or drain your self from whatever to do it , Floyd can pick WHO EVER HE WANTS TO FIGHT NEXT and they will DO IT , if this was the case for GGG and he would pick monroe i would say you are right , this is not the case.

I like Willie (lulz a penis joke) but he's not surviving GGG. A decent fighter and a stay busy fight. Isn't that what we want our favorites to do? Fight more.. The "golden oldies" did it. Unlike the lionizing that has gone on since then they were given **** for it back then too but it's just business.

I'd say Monroe has a much better chance against Golovkin than Salka did against Garcia. Monroe belongs in the mid to high echelons, Salka had absolutely no right being in there with Garcia. It was actually pretty sickening.

I get that you're sticking up for your team, but when your blind loyalty makes you post ludicrous statements like this, i'd say it would be time to change tack.
Salka was one of the worst of all bad fights but Garcia's resume is still taking a big dump on GGG. Can we show Garcia a little love? He was supposed to be lunch for The Hype "Machine". Lol.

Salka was ranked like 77 in the weight class below Garcia and they ended up fighting at 143 lol no comparison. Monroe is a legit middleweight and ranked at least.

Listen, the bottom line is who is available. We already who is NOT available:

              Quillin/Lee
              Jacobs
              Saunders
              N'dam/Lemieux
              Cotto
              Andre Ward (TBA in July)
              Chavez Jr (Fonfara)
              Canelo
              Froch
              Bika
              Abraham
              Sturm
              DeGale
              Dirrell

Ok so who does that leave? Monroe, Tureano Johnson, Heiland. Maybe throw in Sergio Mora if he's available who just looked God awful against Abraham Han. So what's he supposed to do?

So if you're a victim of a *****ty division, would you waste your career there fighting bums? You're already 33, or would you move up or down where there are a few more competitive fights?

People are quick to blast Al Haymon for making mismatches but jump through hoops to defend this one.

A **** fight is a **** fight. Just because you like the guy that's fighting doesn't mean you have to defend everything he does.
