I never heard of the guy but if boxrec has him ranked 9th then he must be pretty good. Just good enough to add to the KO streak. Many don't know it but most of the guys GGG fights recently are rated in the top 10 WHEN he fights them. After he knocks them out they are removed from the top 10. They aren't bums. He just make them look like bums.

Now there's some buzz on twitter that Golovkin maybe going after N'Dam for the vacant IBF. At first it sound like banter, but then HNN started retweeting all the conversation and favoriting it.

Wishful thinking on my part, but with GYM including HBO on the lawsuit, HBO could use it as an excuse not to air the Lemieux/N'Dam fight in favor of GGG/HNN.

The IBF won't let that happen, and rightly so.

Forget if HBO would approve Lara...Would Haymon, who is spending millions and millions to buy airtime on other networks, allow Lara to fight on HBO and probably get knocked out? NO, he wouldn't.

You give them way too much credit for integrity. Remember the time Zab Judah lost to Carlos Baldomir but still retained his IBF title because nobody paid a sanctioning fee? Zab was allowed to keep the IBF title and go on to defend it vs Floyd.

The IBF has gone into agreement with the WBC & WBA to have unified champions in each division (probably to counter act the PBC threat). Golovkin is the WBA & soon to be the full WBC champion. They are allowed to act on such matters per their 'discretion' as repetitively stated throughout their rules.

If the IBF wants it to happen, it shall be. There's a press conference next Tuesday by K2 to announce who Golovkin fights next. I think K2 recognizes Jorge Heiland & Tureano Johnson could be a risk in terms of a backlash on GGG's popularity.

Damn i hope you are right. GGG - N'Dam would actually have some significance with all the belts at stake.

IBF does seem to follow their rules more than the other bodies though.

I really don't see a reason to see GGG fight Lee, Quillin or Lemieux, why would i want to see him murder Heiland? Heiland should fight Lemieux...
Just give the ring belt to GGG, he has cleaned up the division. I prefer to see prime Golovkin at 168...

I like Monroe, but he needs atleast 1-2 more fights.

Lara is not a Middleweight and GGG is not Miguel Cotto looking to lighter weight classes for his opponents.

Golovkin fights FOUR times a year, not twice or once like most other 'champions'. It is unrealistic to expect him to always have a top 5 contender in the ring with him as there simply aren't enough of them. And the other so called 'elite' fighters in the division don't have the stones to get in the ring against him. His next fight should rightly be against Cotto, but he's looking for an easy target instead.

Agreed , the sooner Cotto hands it back to the MW divsion the better it will be for EVERYONE involved , GGG would go up , and the rest can make the top fights for the vacant belts.
