All I'm saying is put forward the offer. If K2 offers Golovkin to fight in Germany, while also bringing over the HBO money, Sturm has a far bigger fight than whatever he's got scheduled (Abraham-Steiglitz is a mandatory fight, so there's that).

There are fights that can be made that are far better than trying to get folks excited for Golovkin-Johnson or some other no-hoper fight.

Froch has accomplished everything that he's ever wanted to accomplish, outside of a major Vegas fight; fighting Golovkin, an admitted tough fight, at a 20,000 seat venue in England is nowhere near the rush of fighting in front of 80,000 of your fellow countrymen. Unless Golovkin becomes a name that could headline the MGM Grand, Froch could give a **** about Golovkin.

Chavez-Golovkin fell through because Top Rank was ****ing around with the money. Ignore that if you want.

To try and act as if there's no other fight available for Golovkin, other than the nonsense being pushed, I can't do anything but laugh.

The question that needs to be asked here is, why does Golovkin specifically want a southpaw?
          • Andy Lee & BJS are southpaws, but that WBO title shot won't be happening til the end of the year at earliest, more likely next March.
          • K2 has stated they want to fight in San Antonio this year, perhaps against the local guy - Lara?

While Heiland is a southpaw, there are way better options.
          • Monroe - who's not quite ready
          • Andrade - who has no options and HBO has the right to match offer - maybe killing any Haymon deals
          • Korobov - who would make a better fight with GGG than Heiland or Johnson

He doesn't? Johnson and Monroe have been posting all sorts of stuff, I'm not sure any of it is grounded in reality.

Willie Monroe Jr is 28 years old, he's as ready as he's going to be, that should be the fight imho.

I'd say Johnson has some decent insight, given he's getting it from Shaw who's talking with Loeffler.

I agree Monroe would seem like the best option of the 3 journeymen level options talked about, but I think Willie would benefit alot from atleast 1-2 more fights against top 15 level opposition. It would make the Golovkin fight a bigger event and a give a win over Monroe more value. But I'd be thrilled if he fought Monroe in May & Lara in August though, especially if Hearn stays to his word of Froch/Golovkin at the end of the year.

Personally, I have no interest in the Lara fight, I had him down against Angulo and losing to a flat-footed Canelo. In August, I would like to see Golovkin v N'dam/Lemieux winner or Lee if he beats Quillin.

The only names coming out of Team Golovkin's mouth are Cotto, Alvarez, and Mayweather. Yet 'Golovkin isn't chasing the little guys' GTFOH
Cotto because he holds the WBC title. If he vacates the title you will never hear him mentioned again. Alvarez and Mayweather are never brought up by GGG or his team but always by interviewers asking a question. Of course they will answer that they would be interesting in fighting them. What would you expect them to say? That they aren't?

Sturm ducked GGG as a middleweight so what makes you think he would be interested as a SMW? And in case you haven't been following the program, Golovkin is not interested in moving up for anything other than a PPV fight. Sturm - GGG is not a PPV in the US which is where GGG wishes to make his name.

People complain about GGG going after Cotto and Canelo by calling them 'little guys' but then suggest Lara and Andrade, both Jr. MWs, as options. Let them work their way up to MW first and then they can try for a fight with GGG. As for Korobov, he just lost his title shot against Lee and does not deserve another one until he gets a couple of fights in to prove himself again.
