Again comparing this to what UFC does is just idiotic because Al's costs are way higher so he needs higher ratings then UFC on Fox to sustain this.

Again bringing up the cost as if it matters right now. Quit thinking like Bob Arum as if you yourself have to get paid today. STFU in fact, im tired of listening to you.

I think I get why you guys are so adamant this will fail. Besies the fact you seemingly hate boxing, you have no clue what Haymon is trying to do here. Zero.

that too. ufc is just more well suited for tv. not only in how it is operated and managed but in terms of the fights that they offer.

ufc is a very casual friendly sport. people don't want to see guys like broner run around. they want to see blood and guts action. they want warriors and that's why it's able to succeed every single time with their shows because they can GUARANTEE action. meanwhile boxing is so up and down you never know where it's going to go in terms of excitement, and casuals and your average viewers don't like that.

Hopefully they shape up some of the production issues, the entrances and such and weget an even better show in one month.
it's not just production issues, entrances, and commentary team that's the problem. it's the matchmaking.

i knew from the beginning that broner vs molina and mares vs sparring partner were going to be complete duds and they were. the only one i knew would succeed with casuals was thurman vs guerrero because BOTH guys come to fight.

Many americans think Football(soccer) it's boring yet it's the most popular sport in the world and football is not guarantee when it comes to action.

This is a good start. You can't expect boxing to recover lost ground so fast with one free show on nbc. You guys need to calm down and let this take its course. The reason UFC on fox did better is because it was put in fox when MMA was(and still is) in a good momentum.

Damn some guys take hating on certain boxers and promoters to the extreme to hope this fails. WTF kind of fans of the sport are you?

You just don't like facts. The cost absolutely matters. Because Al is spending like crazy for these cards he needs higher ratings then smaller costing cards to lure advertisers to pay these high costs. You want to compare ratings for UFC cards where all the fighters combined aint making 1 mil. Meanwhile Al just paid 3 of the 4 fighters on Sat over a mil each. If the ratings stay at this level he will not be able to sustain it. All we have seen so far is an expensive showcase where 2 of the 3 fights were mismatched tune up fights. And the one fight that wasn't a blatant mismatch saw Thurman winning 10 of the 11 rounds. And casual fans didn't bite.

yah i'm talking about your average american viewers. americans like action and that's why they don't watch soccer/football and that's why they hardly watch boxing anymore either. only outside of north america will you find sophisticated and intelligent people with good taste that can appreciate all sports whether it's action packed or not. that's why boxing does HUGE numbers and fill out huge stadiums in latin america, the UK, etc.

but the days of boxing is over in america and it doesn't help that haymon is the worst match maker ever. i hardly watch boxing anymore and i don't know anyone who really does.

again, 3.4 average is abysmal numbers especially for a debut show. completely mediocre. and it will only go lower than that. just look at almost every show you watched and look at it's numbers in terms of viewers for each episode. the first episode does big numbers and everything from there is lower than the debut.

See, there you go again. You keep doing it. Let me make it clear.

HAYMON DOES NOT NEED TO RECOUP ALL THE MONEY HE SPENT.

If this leads to a true network deal that the network pays at the end of these two years.
