And another thing, why do people assume Haymon cares if he makes back is money? Obviously he will try to get the most back as possible, but it's pretty well know this 2 year stint is a try out for a big time deal, knida like teh ufc's 7 year 100m a year deal.
Do people remember the XFL? They were supposed to have a multi-year plan too. But they spent too much money and couldn't sustain the loses. They got GREAT ratings their first week and then it fell off each week and then they pulled the plug and it never got a year 2. Go read what the heads of NBC sports were saying about the XFL the first few weeks. lol PBC got mediocre numbers at best and are overspending for fighters, production, and promotion.

Great for the sport we love. I am sure Garcia-Peterson will be much more entertaining since Peterson literally can't help himself but brawl. I wonder what the expectations for Stevenson-Bika are.

Why is UFC on FOx succeeding? Because they win the demo. Boxing just killed it in the demo, with a bigger average audience then the UFC gets.

Like I already said. Most of you simply are clueless to wtf you are talking about.
i just said why: "...they want so badly for this circus show to succeed since it's their reputation on the line..."

PBC is on their network. it has their support. it gives their resources.

they don't want to come out and say they failed to bring back boxing on network television with a ****. but obviously everything turned out mediocre.

and the reason ufc continues to succeed because they hardly get fights like broner vs molina. and if they do have a stinker it doesn't last 12 rounds. people can always expect action. trust me, you are looking at a demo for one event and like i said the numbers are usually high for a debut and they always go down afterwards.

XFL had a deal and it got cancelled. PBC bought the time already. It's happening. It cant be cancelled. NBC has its money.

The UFC also works better on tv because it's cheaper....the entire main event of UFC on FOX 1 main event between Dos Santos and Velasquez ($430k) was less than Molina's purse ($450k).

for a debut a lot of people will tune in to find out what the fuss is about, and usually the viewership will gradually go down as time goes on. that is what will happen with PBC especially considering every show is few and far between, and so the casuals will lose interest.
That's what you hope and pray for because you actually hate boxing and you wish for it's failure. **** you and anyone that thinks like you.

Hopefully they shape up some of the production issues, the entrances and such and weget an even better show in one month.

UFC on Fox is succeeding because the UFC pays it's fighters peanuts. The cost for their cards are infinitely cheaper then what it just cost Al to pay and promote this weekends card. Thurman alone probably made more then they pay all the UFC fighters on Fox. Again comparing this to what UFC does is just idiotic because Al's costs are way higher so he needs higher ratings then UFC on Fox to sustain this.

The UFC's deal is not comparable.

Whats comparable is the Fox is happy with the UFCs numbers. Numbers that Boxing just beat.
