    STAMFORD, Conn. - Saturday night’s debut of the Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) on NBC was the most-watched professional boxing broadcast since 1998, according to Fast National Data from The Nielsen Company.

    The PBC on NBC telecast averaged 3.4 million viewers, ranking as the most-watched professional boxing broadcast in 17 years (“Oscar De La Hoya’s Fight Night” on FOX, 5.9 million, Mon., March 23, 1998).

        still mediocre numbers. re-runs for a lot of mediocre shows get better numbers than that. and it's only going to get worse because a debut usually will have its strongest numbers and then it goes down after that.

          Ok but what does that mean? Is that good or bad?

          How many viewers is an average primetime broadcast?

          That kind of information would be helpful.

              this is 3 times as many people that would have seen this if it were a BAD card and 4 times as many if it were a SCB card.

                Its a good start. Obviously not a homerun. President of NBC sports is happy, so thats really all you need to know.

                They dominated the most important demo. You win the Demo during a time slot, the advertisers are going to come to you.
