FOX1 has Golden Boy and other TR fighters on it (Fridays), we have Al Haymon's fighters on NBC, Spike, and other Networks is really is good for boxing. Then we have TR talking about rivaling of those of Al Haymon. The more this greedy Promoters vies for regular TV time slots, the better for the fans, hardcore, and casuals, or those curious fans.

These #'s are bad no matter how you spin it. It came in 3rd last night and had a budget probably bigger than all those other channels combined.

To put things in perspective, Fresh off the Boat, a new sitcom with the guy from the interview gets 8+ million per episode. Pacquiao vs Algieri got 48 million viewers in China alone.

If this wasn't a timebuy, NBC would've canceled the next show asap

They calculated the vpvh at only 1.22 which i and others think is unusually low. Even if it got a vpvh of1.8 the number would have been 4.5m viewers.

Only lonely losers and boxing fans are watching tv on a Saturday night....that's why "prime time" is Mon-Fri evening. Thosennumbers are very good for a new show.

The fights started at 5:30 PST, there was more than enough time to watch the fights then go out for the evening if you wanted to on the West Coast, what an idiotic post this was.

The numbers did better than I was expecting, if they can sustain on those number on the main NBC platform on a Saturday prime-time that's fantastic, if they can grow them that's awesome. German & Mexican free tv markets have stronger ratings for the sport, so there's still a target to shoot for.

They're going big with the debut, I hope quality doesn't dip towards the end of the year.

The next show is already a pretty stacked card, and it's also looking like they're setting up a Wilder and Santa Cruz doubleheader for June/July (Wilder vs Fury would be the dream, but Wilder vs Tony Thompson would also work; LSC versus a guy like Kiko Martinez would be another good fight, while he waits for the Frampton-Quigg winner).

You add the prospects of fights like Thurman vs Maidana, Garcia(assuming he wins) vs Guerrero, and others, happening and things are looking good.

Its unfortunate pbc wasted their first fight on the broker vs. Molina mismatch. They better have more competitive matchups than that in order for the casual fan to want to tune back in. I think ill stick with watching HBO fights. They are action packed and don't have the fighters running the whole fight. Cant wait until pacquiao takes mayweather to school and outclass him for 9 or 10 straight rounds before knocking mayweather out. Punish him for all those dispariging comments made about Mannys alleged ped use. Manny is going to make mayweather pay for his words
