If that's the case, I'm disappointed. The only fights I wanted for Cotto were Canelo and a Mayweather rematch, and now it seems like the Floyd fight went out the door.

The Canelo fight, while still possible, seems unlikely if Cotto will in fact be overpayed for tuneups like many speculate.

I'm bummed, but the info so far seems inconclusive.

The main target Canelo, doesn't mean working with any of their enemies. Top Rank and Haymon are all that is off limits 154 and up that is not a huge issue as everyone else will want Cotto for the reason you say.

How quick people turn, hating on Top Rank because Cotto left... The only reason this sucks is because anyone in Haymon's stable is instantly DQ'd. That's not Jay-Z's fault, Haymon is just afraid to do busines with him, so that instantly eliminates anyone in that roster. Cotto/Quillin never going to happen, a Floyd rematch which I wanted to see, never going to happen. Now, in the process he may have burned a bridge with Top Rank so now that entire stable of fighters is probably off of the table. All that for more money, good for him but it's sucks ass as a fan.
