Why would someone cancel HBO to watch Floyd fight on a Showtime PPV? Whatever Showtime did it wasn't working until they got in on the Floyd/Manny sweepstakes and it's been OPENLY reported that the fight is happening because Les made it happen.

Showtime clearly wanted 'boxing' market share. They took away HBO's most prized possession in boxing -- Mayweather. The branding is now Showtime, the All-Access, all Showtime. The Showtime brand.

Floyd fought on HBO PPV and HBO submitted several counterbids to keep Mayweather. Why do you think they did that? Why do you think they immediately fired some staffers after losing Mayweather?

There's a bigger picture here that you don't see, but HBO and Showtime both obviously see.

He already fought Canelo and if the Manny fight was off the table the next most profitable fights are Khan or Cotto or maybe Garcia if he can regain some of the momentum he had.

If they weren't making money with him with the guys he's fought thus far then they just made a bad deal for themselves period ... Because outside of Manny who are these mythical guys he's supposed to be fighting that's going to get him 1.5M every time out?

Showtime wouldn't have to pay Floyd another 32 million under the clause that he wasn't making it profitable to him. That's his end of the bargain and he wasn't holding it up.

If you didn't notice the only fight that was going to make a profit was Floyd/Manny. Did you not see the PPV buys? No one Floyd faced would get over a million buys even Cotto, so the only option was Manny. Can you comprehend English because your last statement is stating exactly what I've been stating but yet you want to argue. He had to fight Manny to keep getting paid that guarantee from Showtime, if he refused they could have found him in breach of his contract. They wouldn't sue him, they just wouldn't pay him and he wouldn't have a case if he ducked Manny.

That's why its brilliant because even if not true the average person will believe it and think the Mayweather side is scared. I don't care who sparring partners what both fighters see in the ring will be different from sparring.
