The point is, if they're so worried about Pac, do something that will affect him in the fight. Pac has been a pro for two decades. And probably doesn't require any sparring. Like Floyd, Pac will adjust to what's in front of him on fight night. Sparrimg does nothing but keep him sharp. Who he's sparring against is probably irrelevant.

Every fight isn't going to sale a mil; nobody has or nobody ever will. Close to a 100 mil(PPV live gate, closed circuit) is made during a Mayweather fight barring he isn't fighting Mosley,Cotto,Canelo. People are making money off these fights depending on who you listen too the Guerrero fight either did 1 mil plus or 870k; the Madiana fights did 900k's by the reports at the price of 79.99. Showtime may not be getting 1.4 mil but it's not like he's 350k either.I doubt it that they knew Mays fights won't crack a mil PPV buy that's why they bought him from HBO. Al is a good businessman, everyone knows this. He have that business savvy that when he talks people listen. So it doesnt surprise me at all if Al sweet talk Espinoza to give that deal to May promising him for a big profits.
Bottom line is Moonves stepped in, and made the fight happen. I'm so excited.Comment

What is relevant is that Roach is talking about it. I think roach is doing to much "strategy," and that's not good. If Manny is a well-rounded fighter, like Floyd and Cotto, you don't need a game plan. What you do is make sure your fighter is well-conditioned, and go from there. If Floyd or Manny don't know what to do in May, they're not going to learn it in the next 60 days. The point is, if they're so worried about Pac, do something that will affect him in the fight. Hahaha are you really going to contradict yourself? Day after this fight, Floyd getting old overnight will be the biggest agenda pushed by floydiots. After seeing Floyd fight someone as aggressive as Maidana and looking like utter ****, Floyd is getting beat bad in this fight.Comment

I actually disagree with you about game plans. Perfect example is Roach and Manny working on that sneaky right hook, then move for Hatton. That was part of the game plan specific for Ricky. Floyd is special, they need a plan. What is relevant is that Roach is talking about it. I think roach is doing to much "strategy," and that's not good. I feel like this will happen either way. The fact that this fight is happening 5 years later gives both fighters an excuse if they lose. If Floyd loses then he's 38, doesn't have the foot work or reflexes anymore. If Manny loses then he's been through too many wars, too much wear and tear, and doesn't have the combo speed or killer instinct anymore.Hahaha are you really going to contradict yourself? Regardless of what happens on May 2nd, May 3rd will see defenders of the loser come out strong.Comment

Sadly, in this instance, I'm a fan of both fighters .... always have been!!!Hahaha are you really going to contradict yourself? Even though, I believe Manny will have the tougher time because of his wrecklessness, still its a pick-em fight.
Unlike many here, I will accept whatever happens as being final and no excuse can be offered.
May the best man win!!!!!!Comment

I agree, which is why IMO Roach is one of the most unlikeable personalities in boxing. He makes every fight about him and his Xs and Os. He takes far too much credit when his fighter wins. And far too little blame when they lose. Often time throwing them under the bus for not following his "master plan" when they come up short. What is relevant is that Roach is talking about it.
