After Jones lost to Tarver, he suddnely changed his tune.

Do you remember that interview also?

He's no bum. Just should have spent less time playing basketball and more time working on his fight game....

Yeah, Jones' resume is so much better than Calzaghe's

I mean, Jones fought everybody there was to fight.. right?

Jones didn't miss about half-a-dozen top-class fighters at SMW between 93 and 96, neither did he miss about half-a-dozen top-class fighters at LHW between 96 and 99.

Jones has never been Lineal champion at any weight he's ever fought at, never unified any title at any weight he's ever fought at, and somehow managed to miss out on the best crop of fighters between middleweight and light-heavyweight that there has probably ever been in terms of depth. I mean, seriously, weren't just a tad bit pissed off when he was getting in there with the Glenn Wolfe's of this world instead of Gerald McClellan, Lamar Parks and co? Or defending against the Antoine Byrd's of this world instead of fighting Nigel Benn, Chris Eubank, Stevie Collins, Frankie Liles, Michael Nunn and co? Or defending against the Richard Frazier's of this world instead of fighting Fabrice Tiozzo, Dariusz Michalczewski, Henry Maske, Graciano Rocchigiani, Michael Nunn and co? I know I was!

Not in terms of all the top fighters he somehow managed to miss fighting. It really is a joke, sorry but it is.

He wasn't a bum, he was a dissapointment to me. He had so much natural talent it's a shame he didn't do more.
