JCC and Floyd fight nothing alike - JCC is a greater opponent than Floyd ever faced, JCC is greater than Floyd ever aspires to be

I think many people commenting don't even remember Camacho at 130! He was something special. I have to side with Camacho on this one.

              Floyd.

It's a totally different story when you can't get hit and you **** like you have dynamite in your fists.

Floyd @ 130 would hurt Camacho bad.

Floyd vs Mosley years past it's expiration date, Floyd vs Cotto years past it's expiration date and now Pacquiao years past it's expiration date

Would Floyd have gone through prime Trinidad, DLH and Chavez Sr unscathed? If the honest answer is yes, then you could then honestly say one is truly better.
Floyd is older than Cotto. Mosley declined to fight Floyd in their primes, complaining of tooth aches, so thats on him. Floyd is older than Pacquiao. Sooo, your point was?

Floyd would make Trinidad look dumb.

DLH and JCC Sr would be tougher fights but I wouldn't say Floyd couldn't beat them.

Great thread. Floyd was at or near his best at this weight but given that Camacho was a southpaw and could virtually match floyd is every category. Well lets have a look: Camacho was probably faster than floyd at this weight, he was a better combination puncher....Floyd was a better counter puncher but at this weight and speed, nobody is countering camacho! Floyd is probably stronger but at this weight not much is going to happen to the body.

the intangibles: Camacho was a killer when he could open up on you, Floyd was probably a little smarter and technically savy.

All in all I give it to the macho man. Most people who saw Camacho fight at 130 would at least have to think about this... It is the height of ******ity to put either fighter at a blind wash at this weight....

One poster compared this to the Benitez Leanard fight. Fair enough. thing is if Wilfredo had trained for that fight and been on his A game it would have been a better fight (Sugar Ray was better), and would have been close enough in skill that anything could have happened. Even at his worse Wilfredo was competative. My point is that this was a valid comparison but not for the reasons the poster may think! In a fight between Camacho and May at 130 circumstances may determine who wins! who had a better night, you know hapanstanz because this fight is a real toss up!

Tony Pep, Cuelvo and O'Shields weren't stopped, neither would Camacho be, not even close to being stopped.

Read the title of the thread. They didn't fight at 130. They fought at 140 when Camacho was no where near as fast and was not the fighter he was many years earlier in 1985.
