Manny playing and coaching a pro bball team in the Philippines has nothing to do with his bball skills or lack of, it's his status. People will buy tickets just to see him. KIA team is a new franchise, of course they need publicity and tickets sales. Majority of people in the Philippines knows Manny doesn't belong there myself included.

Am I still seeing people surprised by this? America isn't the world, we get to talk **** with little to no reprucssions here. People should remember this before running their mouth. If you say something bad about someone from Iran online you could be arrested or killed. I work with a guy from there, he said we don't get spied on in this country... The Philippines was rich back in the day but has somehow devolved into nothing due to the abuses of corrupt politicians taking advantage of the ********ic government. Japan got freaking nuked during WW2 yet they recovered and are a modernized 1st world country today. South Korea has rapidly advanced and is a 1st world country today as well. What about the Philippines? The potential got wasted, IMO.

He does not own the team that fired the kid. Maybe just maybe if your career has hit the skids so bad you had to fly half way across the world to play ball for peanuts you should focus on....PLAYING BALL.
