nope wbc has made floyd defend his 154 belts, russell fight for the wbo vs lomo, and stevenson has to fight kovalev...all those are al haymons guys..

i give the organizations 100% the blame wbc is a mexican org...they dont want a cuban with their belt..and just think he'll be takin it away from a mexican

WBC also mandated Stevenson, an Al Haymon fighter, to fight Kovalev. The guy actually makes a good point. WBC should force it now that it's encouraging unifications.

Rigo needs a heavy hitter in his corner. He left Top Rank but had no backup plan. Look at what having Haymon did for Lara. He won a title, headlined a PPV, gets dates on ShowTime and is supposedly in the running for the Cotto fight.

Caribe needs to accept a buyout from somebody that can actually get Rigo fights and airtime. They can no longer do anything for him.

yea fine caribe is not the best..but this is up to the organizations to force fights...they shouldnt do it in one place and forget the next place...and it doesnt seem to be a coincidence

Golovkin beat the number 1 contender in the WBC rankings which was Murray. So he is now mandatory for Cotto.

I don't know who the WBC number 1 is at Super Bantamweight but I don't think Rigo has beaten him.

Either way, I can't remember the last time the WBC enforced a mandatory on Santa Cruz. They have just given Anthony Dirrell another extension to avoid Groves but they're making Linares fight Mitchell straight away. They have no consistency.

linares did not win the title he was rewarded it..every champion who wins it seems to get one voluntary...but kovalev did not beat the wbc number 1 contender did he? is pascal the number 1 of the wbc?? so if avalos loses to frampton..frampton should be ranked as rigo/s nmber 1 contender b/c avalos was rigo's number 1...u tried but no sir this does not justify it...rigo could go beat the wbc number 1 and nothing would happen..

Stop the complaining , when is Rigo fighting ? Whom is he fighting ? That's your job as a promoter .
Nobody wants to fight him but you as a promoter must get him fights , it is on you and Gary Hyde . Nobody will give you a free ride , promote him and get him fights .

Why are people treating Rigo as if he's a child and have no control over his own career? You can't blame his current promoter if Rigo chooses to stick with him.

I doubt Rigo fights Frampton after the Avalos fight. Frampton would probably fight Quigg first which is a bigger fight.
After that I wouldn't be surprised if they put the Frampton/Quigg winner vs Mares/LSC winner.

wbc and all the white fans seem to really be pushing GGG to get his WBC shot..and the WBC oblidged...but ole rigo still has to sit back and watch leo fight TBA's...this is one reason i really dont care for GGG..he's being carried when he doesnt have to be..he is a great fighter no doubt, bur rigo has done more and cotto has done more than leo so how is GGG's situation justified and rigo's is not?? Will the WBC strip Cotto of his belt if he doesn't fight GGG next? I don't think so. Personally, I believe they will allow him to incubate their belt until Floyd vs Manny is done. And if Floyd then wants to fight Cotto before GGG, he will be allowed to do so.

Second, GGG isn't only popular with white fans, and even if he was, why should that influence the WBC to act in his favour? The WBC, as you say, are based in Mexico, and the Mexicans fans have plenty of their own boxing heroes to support.

Third, Rigo isn't getting the breaks he deserves because he doesn't have enough fans, of whatever colour. Or maybe, because the fans he does have don't have enough money. That's due to lack of exposure and publicity, not racial bias.

But if you think that GGG's white fans could help Rigo get a fight with one of the other belt holders, then I'm willing to give it a try.

I'm white, from the UK, and I really hope Frampton steps up and fights Rigo this year. ARE YOU LISTENING, BARRY McGUIGAN?
