I think Pascal is the number 1 in the WBC. The winner of Kovalev-Pascal becomes mandatory to Stevenson.

If Rigo was with Al Haymon he'd be freaking set. Fighters like Rigo, who are avoided like the plague, need someone like Haymon to put them in the best possible places to succeed. Santa Cruz is a ***** by the way. Luckily my boy Abner Mares will beat the breaks off that kid soon.

He beat Cotto's mandatory/WBC interim champion and granted him that status after the win. I'm all for them doing it, but I assume Rigo would have to do the same. they're not just going to make him mandatory

So who is stopping Rigo from signing with Haymon? He's not a child, doe. Any detail about his contract with his current promoter? When will it expire? Haymon can easily buy his remaining contract if he wanted to, just like LSC with GBP.

Is it possible Haymon doesn't want him?

caribe was the only bidder on rigo-avalos fight, but since they don't know ***** and they don't do ***** for rigo, they bid so low that avalos said screw you and moved on, caribe has nobody to blame but themselves.

Haymon was interested in signing him but wanted Caribe out of the picture. He can't break away from Caribe because he has a legally binding contract.

You mean Haymon is helpless when it comes to Rigo. But not when it came to Stevenson, Chavez, etc., there's no problem signing them.

LSC's was still signed with GBP, but Haymon settled the matter with ease.

Real question is why is Rigo letting this happen? Was there no expiration to this "legally binding contract" you're speaking of?

The WBA should really order Quigg v Rigo.

They've both held their versions of the strap for a long while now.

Because he has no business sense I guess. I don't know. Haymon has a working relationship with GBP and LSC had a buyout clause in his contract.

I don't know what Rigo's contract with Caribe looks like.
