Gabriel Peñagarícano, adviser to WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto, says the recent announcement of Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao has no effect on his fighter.

Last month, when Cotto's negotiations with Saul "Canelo" Alvarez fell apart, most people felt he had done so in order to chase a rematch with Mayweather. That rumor was killed last Friday, when Mayweather announced he was facing Pacquiao on May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

That doesn't mean Cotto has been left out in the cold.

So...still nothing from cotto? Unless it's a fight with GGG,its going to be seen as a duck. Only exception to that,would be Lara at 154,but there's no money in that,and cotto gets embarrassed for 12 rounds.

It'll most likely be on PPV, unless Cotto wants to dip his hands into regular HBO, which I doubt.

It'll follow behind the biggest PPV, literally, ever.

Fighting a WW will lose HBO money.

HBO and everyone else might have some leeway after all the money they're gonna make... but why bother?

If it's against a WW, i'm gonna boycott the crap out of it, hand out streams everywhere..... deserves to bomb
