Good question and there shouldn't be any excuse to allow anyone to do such a travesty. If Cotto fights by June 2015 that would be a whole year since holding the spurious title and how the WBC could allow an "optional defense" with someone 2 divisions lower??? (no WW or JMW is currentlly on the top 10 of the MW division) and even more pathetic knowing that probably it could take another 6-12 months for him to attempt to make a real defense of that title. Wrong, wrong, wrong.

I really wish Loeffler would appeal to the commission and have Cotto's voluntary dismissed and the mandatory enforced. This guy has been sitting on that voluntary fight long as hell, he could've signed and had a fight this coming month with giving GGG his mandatory in the summer. At this rate the mandatory may have to wait til 2016. Cotto needs to man the hell up. I'm sure PrBoxing is completely fine with this diva holding belts hostage.

I'm starting to feel like 85 percent of ya on here jus like to speak without logic, I don't see anything wrong with Cotto fighting his optional defense in his 2ND fight in the middleweight division then fighting GGG, Wht is wrong with getting more comfortable with the division ? I'm sure all ya talking crap had Martinez whipping Cotto then Cotto whips him and ya ain't man enough to give him the credit! So they made things difficult in the Canelo negotiations for nothing. What was that A-side crap all about? They ended up looking for fights now, which is no different from giving up that A-side crap of theirs.
