What previous 3 months? Canelo was going to fight Clottey in December then got scared of him too and faked an ankle injury.

They were negotiating for a few weeks and all Cotto was doing was WAITING to see if he got Mayweather. You can't blame him for that and he was still negotiating with Canelo anyway while waiting. Do you read any articles? The day negotiations started Oscar said Canelo wants it in Vegas or Texas, on a Mexican holiday and you have to split 50/50. How is that a negotiation that's a demand and Cotto said, I'll do all that but for more money. Canelo refused to move off of anything...

Oh well, at the end of the day STILL, only one guy has a contract signed to fight a DIFFERENT fighter and it isn't Cotto.

Say what you want, bottom line may 2 always meant more to Canelo than fighting cotto did. That's why they tried to pressure cotto and ended up rushing to get Kirkland signed. He lost the date and the fight.

Of course not. Canelo already ducked Cotto.

Like I said...pure speculation. I can understand how this motivation relates to your previous post, but it doesn't do anything to validate or verify a thing you said. lmao.

I'm pretty sure that 100% of the bold is completely made up. I didn't realize we had an insider to the negotiations posting on this board.

I hope so. It is the second biggest fight that can be made in boxing right now.

Let's be real, if Floyd beats PAC and Canelo beats Cotto in June, Canelo will be the front runner for September.

By not fighting a threat, Cotto makes himself still available for September, which leaves Canelo out of 2 big paydays this year, and PAC is not fighting Canelo at that weight.
