I watched it again and same thing. Last night I had Pac winning by 1-2 rounds, I could have understood a draw since Manny was fighting with one arm. But today I still have it close, Manny by 4 rounds BUT I see rounds more clearly for Pac than last night.
Everyone was so caught up in waiting for Manny to KO floyd with one arm that they stopped paying attention to anything else. Floyd missed a lot, and Pac was always the one attacking, pushing the action and controlling the pace.
REMEMBER, they threw almost the same amount of punches...... And Manny was throwing with one arm and CompuBox is owned by Al Haymon. Watch the fight again, floyd only had a few rounds where he won clearly, but the majority of rounds he had 2 good moments and Pac had more. Pac was the aggressor and controlled ring generalship.
Floyd fans don't care about what actually happened, they're just here to worship their hero. They're not fans of boxing, they're fans of a man.
I've never been biased a single day I've been on on this site, I've done nothing but call it like it is, the first post I made after the fight was over is that Floyd is one of the greatest I ever seen.
Some the rounds I thought were clear floyd rounds last night, I rewatched and realized he didn't really do much in them except stifle Pacquiao's offense without landing much of his own.
I give Floyd his credit, but I feel Pacquiao deserves credit as well.
What does manny deserve credit for? The 4th and 6th rounds? The 9th?
Manny deserves scorn and shame for failing to keep fighting and failure to even try and win.
He never tried to take this fight. He never dared to be great in this fight. He fought not to get knocked out or stopped.
Then, after embarrassing himself in the post fight interview, he then made it worse at the presser, leaning over to get someone to tell him what to say like he forgot the script.
If you are truly unbiased, call manny out for the shameful way he handled getting easily beaten.
You thought it was close, doesn't make it true. Either way, Mayweather won. Next?
He did indeed. But part of good sportsmanship and playing the crow game is for both sides to be realistic. If Pac had never cut the ring off, looked like a pinyata, never caught Floyd with a good (even buckling shot) then it woulda and shoulda been hell for the tards....but that is far from what happened. Look at both guys faces after the fight are either of them marked up?
You guys, especially the senior posters should at least have the guts to acknowledge that and again: I defy you or anyone to find any posting behavoir on my part suggesting I have a dog in this fight. There are pics on this thread right now that show at least 3 times that Floyd got tagged real good by Manny.
It just would be nice if people kept the perspective. That to me is what real knowledgable posters do. But frankly? I don't know why people are complaining about this fight. If someone told me that Floyd would be succesful controlling distance in the fight, Manny would get some good cracks in at least a few times....Hey both guys had a chance and both guys had some success.
I respect you as a poster so keep in mind that my intention is not to mock.
Bruh I'm a Filipino, but I'm seriously just glad this fight is done with.
I'm too young of a boxing fan to give a **** about two old men fighting. I was excited no doubt, but if you didn't realize Manny's shot was on the downside then you need to go back and watch Manny's fights these pasts three years.
No real Welterweight challenges, mostly guys from the 140 division, and he's been getting tagged much more frequently since he got K.O. by Marquez.
You had two guys who rely heavily on straight punches. A great taller/longer fighter and a great shorter fighter. One side was bound to give.
Manny was too slow and with straight punches being his main arsenal all Floyd needed was to gauge distance properly. Straight punches and Manny NEVER fights in the phonebooth.
Manny never had the jab like Cotto or ODLH. He doesn't maul you and get you in close like Maidana or Castillo.
Manny needs range/distance, which Floyd has mastered, to let off machine gun shots.

Dude...I don't really care if you have a dog in this fight. Even if you did, you can still be objective. Believe me, I know. Anyway, I don't think it was close and you do. That's that.
