Martinez doesn't exist all of a sudden? And names like Zab, Clottey, Corley, Torres, Margarito, Mosley and far better than anyone else in boxing other than Manny and Floyd. The resume of these three guys is what every boxer should aspire to.

Cotto has a bunch of good names on his resume, especially at the time he fought them, how those fighters were perceived, that's how I rate resumes. How good was the fighter at the time he was added as a win to the resume in question. Mosley, Martinez, Clottey, Quintana obviously pop up, the fact that Quintana upset the avoided and undefeated Paul Williams 2 years after losing to Cotto raised the win even more. In retrospect Martinez was past it, but going in he was perceived as the favorite and a dangerous fighter. We also can't ignore that he did beat a Malignaggi who went on to become champion, he also actually beat some one for their title, Yuri Foreman at 154. GGG's very best wins are on par with Cotto lesser, but still decent wins like Torres, Judah, Corley. That's the caliber of fighters GGG has at 33, the Torres', Judah's, Gomez's, Bailey's and Corley's of the world. Cotto's lesser, but decent wins.

Losing to the two best fighters of his era, Mayweather and Pacquiao is not a shameful thing either. Losing is what happens when you fight the best. The Trout fight I scored a Draw so I don't exactly see that as a loss, but officially yeah he did lose, I just didn't have him losing that fight.

Well, the face of boxing is notorious of doing so but still get paid big money. It is what it is. Boxing has and will always be about making big money. Gone are the days where best fights the best. Nowadays, whoever can give me big payday with little risk.

Lots of truth in this post, he beat undefeated Paulie, Quintana, Foreman, Torres... He fought guys that people look down on now because they lose but he was the start of the losing for a lot of them.

With or without GGG, Cotto's legacy is already set in stone. he fought guys he supposed to fight, win or lose the guy bring it. He is one of my favorite and entertaining fighter in his era. Being a stepping stone from these young or up and comer is not advisable at this stage of his career. I say make the Canelo happen, then fight May and then hang em up. He made history for his homeland nothing to bash against him really, unless you're a hater.

And why would he fight Rios or Bradley? And why would he risk his belt against Triple G? Is that a good business move on this stage of his career? He can get a stay busy fight until he gets Canelo or Floyd, but risking his belts before facing those two big names is not commendable move.

First of all, Cotto is one of the few ACTIVE fighters whose legacy is solid and not too much can change that....without a doubt Cotto is a future HOFer and NOTHING Abel can say to change that!!....the man has fought EVERY relevant champion and contender of his era....FACT!!!

Second of all, if Godzilla continues to avoid SOG then we can start talking about Godzilla's legacy...he's 30 plus yrs old and has yet to face a genuine top tier fighter....there's a couple of ***els around his size like Froch and Ward who have legitimate titles and would gladly welcome Godzilla at '68 if he ever wants to attempt to accomplish what the Legendary Miguel Cotto has

Lastly, ABEL EAT D*CK homie!!....Cotto don't have to fight your pitbull....he can drop the belt and drop back down and make some Nelo and re up on that Floyd money....he can even dig Marg back up from the grave and get a few more M's....bottom line...Cotto is in a good space legacy and career wise....that was some weak ass bait, you can come at Cotto sideways on a few things but his LEGACY is NOT one!!
