Lots of truth in this post, he beat undefeated Paulie, Quintana, Foreman, Torres... He fought guys that people look down on now because they lose but he was the start of the losing for a lot of them.

Not knocking his resume at all, but this one shouldn't even be discussed.

And why would he fight Rios or Bradley? And why would he risk his belt against Triple G? Is that a good business move on this stage of his career? He can get a stay busy fight until he gets Canelo or Floyd, but risking his belts before facing those two big names is not commendable move.

Fighting GGG wouldn't help Cotto's legacy because GGG would make him good boy. Wife and child crying in audience.

Avoiding GGG, as Cotto will continue doing, will not hurt his legacy. Nobody would ever mistake him for a MW.

First of all, Cotto is one of the few ACTIVE fighters whose legacy is solid and not too much can change that....without a doubt Cotto is a future HOFer and NOTHING Abel can say to change that!!....the man has fought EVERY relevant champion and contender of his era....FACT!!!

Second of all, if Godzilla continues to avoid SOG then we can start talking about Godzilla's legacy...he's 30 plus yrs old and has yet to face a genuine top tier fighter....there's a couple of ***els around his size like Froch and Ward who have legitimate titles and would gladly welcome Godzilla at '68 if he ever wants to attempt to accomplis what the Legendary Miguel Cotto has

Williams and Sergio were already at MW... so tell me who he should have fought instead considering he fought everyone at 147 and 154... I didn't say it was a great win, but it shouldn't be ignored.

I'm aware of all that but Foreman was a true cripple. That fight didn't showcase anything. He had to fight someone but lets not act like that fight was anything too special.
