he's not taking into account inflation, ppv and cable, athlete's make more now, etc.
boxing is not more popular just because it has higher income now.

HBO has the resources to invest in boxing. They used to do a good job. They do a good job with HBO Latino. They don't use HBO2 like I think. Al doing this should make them.
Whats funny is posters like you could care less if we get better fights or more boxing with this move, you just don't want Haymon to be successful in boxing. With guys like you its easy to tell what your real reasons are, but you try and pretend its bad matchups.
You watch Manny v Algieir, you watch wlad against any bum, you watch Kov v Caparello, GGG v adama and say nothing about quality of the fight. then when a haymon managed fighte is on, well he has to fight the top guy everytime or else it sucks.
Your transparent. If HBO uses its resources properly and gets back to where they were, we as fans win.
Just remember-HBO benefited from being in 8 million more homes than SHowtime, so the ratings were almost always higher.

You are the biggest Haymon backer on this site, yet try to accuse me of playing politics here. Laughable, my man.
The fact that we are even talking about Haymon is the problem. He's not even a promoter, he shouldn't have the control he has over who gets to fight who, but he does, and that's what's killing boxing.

YEAR 2013
For example, HBO getting 1.6m is in 29 mil homes. SHow getting 1.3 mil is in 21 million homes. HBO is in 1.4 times as many homes. If shwotime was in same homes that 1.3m would be 1.8 mil.

When exactly did Haymon rise? Why the use of "continued?" Continued rise in making meaningless exhibition matches for his fighters? Broner is in his third tune up fight now. Thurman's step up fight is Guerrero. This Haymon guy actually have nothing if you think about it. All he does is to prevent meaningful fights from happening.
