People are under some sort of belief this isn't about creating a big company and then unloading it. If that wasn't the case he'd be using his own money which has been publicly disclosed that he isn't. You build a brand and sell it move on to the next venture....
If you read some of the contracts he has with his fighters, it looks like you might be right. The fighters are committed in the contracts to pay a high percentage of their income to Al Haymon's company for their entire career, because there are clauses that repeatedly extends the contracts.

If Al Haymon sells his company to a financial investor the income from these contracts could probably be collected by the new buyer without them doing anything but demanding the boxers to fight the most difficult opponents.

However, I don't think he would wait as long as five years to cash in because when he realizes that he cannot sign more fighters, he would look for a buyer as soon as possible.

I don't know Al Haymon personally, so have no idea about his intentions, but I would not personally trust a person with his track record. Just ask Oscar De La Hoya how he feels about working with Al Haymon.

What's sad is we are gonna get Floyd vs. Manny before we get any major top rank vs. GBP card. U kniw, the one that's been supposedly coming for like a year now?

You can thank Cotto for that.

          Hay-b

The problem is though with 200 fighters you cannot give each the exposure they deserve the math doesn't work. Just using his fighters against each other is 100 fights a year. Not happening. Do you want to fight the most once a year if that with him or 2-3 times a year making more$ for someone else golden, top, shaw.

Oscar is lying out his ass! He's sweating bullets just like every other promoter in the business. I especially laughed when he said him and Top Rank have the biggest names in the sport. Classic case of denial!

This is the thing. When you really look at Haymons stable, his only REAL star is Floyd. I don't see anyone else in his stable that would draw enough casual fan interests in order for this thing to take off on network television with the exception of those who will tune in to see Broner get his azz kicked. Haymon seems to be signing just about anyone he can. I would say that 80% of his stable are made up of fighters that the casual fan has never heard of nor care about.

Unless he puts on all action balls to the wall fights, it will not take off. Casuals tuning in want to see a fight. They don't care about the technical science involved with boxing. They just want to see 2 guys going at it.

That's the thing-he has several platforms for all those fighters to get exsposure.

He also is going to grow fighters the same way they have on forever in the sport. Guys are going to get opponents they are supposed to beat-like I said you don't give a **** ass when GGG gets these types of opponents.

should they take off and make it big, then yes, every so often they will get a salka or an algieiri level opponent.

why would you expect Al to build his fighters into viable attractions differently than other promoters/managers have?

Well Haymon better hope that he can secure a TV deal before he's burned through all that cash or he's going to be in big trouble. I can honestly see this going both ways. Either Haymon makes it big, or the whole company implodes.

                    Let's take a look at Arum's stable....lol

His only real star is a cross-eyed coma victim too scared to his own man.

Haymon did what De La Hoya couldn't do. The difference is Haymon had a vision and focused on building a deep roster of top contenders and champions while De La Hoya focused on one demographic and Canelo.
