It's not an opinion, it's fact. Groves has admitted he was offered 50/50. He wants 65/35

What better options does Groves have?

He won't get 65/35 he knows that.
Groves is a bigger name than Degale currently. Which transcends to more options.

The flip of the argument is Degale could take less and it would be more than he'd get elsewhere.i just made a thread discussing the idea of contracts being about the outcome.
Maybe that could be an idea. Clearly both parties will happily fight each other.

It's just negotiations don't get so worked up about it.

Wouldn't work because what if the outcome is Groves getting another gift decision?

Groves' only other option in Anthony Dirrell.

Of course it's not possible Degale would get a gift either.

So if you were Degale who would you rather fight?

What? The best option for both fighters is to fight each other. There's only one side that doesn't want it to happen.

No, one side doesn't want to fight at a 50/50 split. I don't believe either party doesn't want the fight.
Eddie has to fulfil his Sky contract, they will prefer Groves.
Groves knows this so he can bargain.

What was the split in the first fight?
Also if Degale was so confident take a smaller cut and long term he'll profit.

Ugly kid gets KTFO by this DeGale, no doubt whatsoever.

It's called pricing yourself out which means you don't really want the fight.

Groves could bargain if he had some kind of other amazing option in place but he doesn't.

DeGale shouldn't have to accept 35% of a purse for a vacant title. Maybe if Groves was the champion, there'd be an argument. Groves has done **** to deserve 65%. It's two guys fighting a rematch of a highly controversial and razor thin original fight. 50/50 is fair.

Agreed he could price himself out and that's a risk he takes but I can't see it.
It's not actually about Degale. Groves isn't bargsin against his option it's against Degales other option. That's the point!
Sorry but life isn't fair as a Degae fan you should know that.
