Disagree think Groves knows if he loses another rematch would be an extremely hard sell. Given the outcome of the last rematch. There's no question Groves is a bigger attraction than degale at this moment in time. That's obviously why Hearn is pushing so much for the fight.
However, how can he say he's doing the smart thing by waiting on a mandatory in November for 1/20 of the money he'll make in the UK vs Degale on PPV? I just don't get it.
Is he really that pitiful that he'll rather take a high-risk/low-reward fight as opposed to just granting Degale a 50/50 shot?
Is he bitter because he took a lower cut the first time? Does he not like Degale or Hearn? is he willing to give up £2million because of that?
ffs, lose to degale and you're still in the game. It'll be 1-1 after that and you can push for a trilogy after that. I mean, have some common sense.Comment

Khan is looking at bigger fights than Kell Brook. Groves is trying to fight Anthony Dirrell for $200k.
Groves can do what the *** he wants. I don't care. Will be hilarious seeing him get splattered across the canvas either way.Comment

Groves is the master of his own destiny and assuredly deserves more than 50% of the pie given his profile in the UK (And that's where the revenue is coming from, UK Box Office). George has a nailed-on WBC title shot, albeit for less money than a DeGale showdown, and he's already beaten DeGale so I can see why he isn't super eager to go over old ground unless he is in the driver's seat.Comment

Depends on how he loses. If it's a competitive fight, it won't be hard at all. Or he could bounce back with a couple of wins and it'd get the public going again.
The worst that could happen is a boring fight like the first one. Luckily it seems people forget how bad it was.Comment

Yet hes still fighting at a higher level than khan & BOTH will get splattered across the canvas either wayComment

Yeah it wasn't great!! Tense but not a classic.Depends on how he loses. If it's a competitive fight, it won't be hard at all. Or he could bounce back with a couple of wins and it'd get the public going again.

I think also maybe it's not just the split but the total.
My wife is a contract lawyer and there are always so many subsections and clauses.
People here think it's so black and whiteComment

His profile is ****. The only reason he was on Box Office was because of Carl Froch.Groves is the master of his own destiny and assuredly deserves more than 50% of the pie given his profile in the UK (And that's where the revenue is coming from, UK Box Office). George has a nailed-on WBC title shot, albeit for less money than a DeGale showdown, and he's already beaten DeGale so I can see why he isn't super eager to go over old ground unless he is in the driver's seat.
He's not going to be the "master of his own destiny" or "in the driver's seat" against Dirrell. Far from it. 15% of bugger all compared to 50% of the purse against DeGale which is a guaranteed £2.5millionComment
