I cant belive that Lewis and Klitschko are in the poll, and not Larry Holmes. Larry Holmes big time, in terms of skills.
Who is the greatest fighter since Muhammed Ali?

People tend to take a lot of credit away from Mayweather because of the Pacquiao situation and the possible fights that didn't happen at the right time throughout his career.
But people also forget the there were 2 sides in the negotiation process between both fighters and both are to be blamed for the fight not happening many years ago, you can't compare this to the Leonard Hagler situation cuz Leonard refused to even come to the table and negotiate anything, he straight up said I'm not fighting Hagler
Except he was offered the fight, offered seven times more than any individual purse he'd ever made in his life, and he still rejected it.
Since 2006 till now almost all the fighters that Floyd faced were champions when he faced them, and even though a lot of match ups would've been great but still he fought good opposition and looked good against all his opponents, Judah was a champion, Baldomir was a champion, Dela Hoya was a champion, Hatton was a champion, Mosley was a champion, Ortiz was a champion, Cotto was a champion, Guerrero was a champion, Canelo was a champion and Maidana was a champion.
Cotto was Promoted by Arum and by his own admission after the Gatti fight he thought Cotto wasn't ready for Mayweather. Margarito would've been awesome but Uncle Bob was too greedy and he wanted the bigger piece of the pie and that's why Floyd bought out his contract and left him, Arum offered Floyd like 7 mil for a Margarito fight and Floyd wanted more cuz it would've been a huge ppv fight, Floyd fought both Mosley and Cotto and made 10 times the money he would've made had he fought them when he was with Arum.Comment

You can't compare it because Leonard and Hagler weren't ever in the same weight class. Leonard fought his Pacquiao in Tommy Hearns, and he did when he was at his most dangerous and formidable.
Except he was offered the fight, offered seven times more than any individual purse he'd ever made in his life, and he still rejected it.
Many of them were champions because belts in this day and age are handed out like cotton candy at a fairground. We are in an era where the likes of Canelo can be declared a champion for beating an unranked Matthew Hatton for a vacant belt, or Andre Berto can beat some Mexican stiff that nobody knew before or has heard from since and be declared a champion. ****ing Maidana traces his lineage back to Senchenko.
He was offered eight million to fight Margarito & rejected it to go right Baldomir for allegedly (the official purse was never disclosed) the same amount, and that was after already having turned down seven million the year previous to fight Tony.Comment

THE TOP 5 ARE Leonard, Duran, Mayweather, Whitaker and Roy Jones
the next tier is Larry Holmes, Manny Pacquaio, James Toney and Bernard Hopkins
IMO Pacquaio isn't top 5.....all the top guys I listed were nearly unbeatable until their mid 30's.....in total before the age of thirty the had a combined 4 losses in nearly 200 combined fights
the 4 losses....Pernell got robbed in france by Ramirez and won the rematch, Jones a dq over griffin who he ko'ed in round one in the rematch, Leonard lost to ATG Duran and Duran lost to estban Dejesus who he avenged it 2x
those 5 guys are head and shoulder over the rest IMOComment

The People have spoken. Leonard is currently shading Duran by a couple of votes. These 2 are the top 2 all on their own. Pacquiao is a clear number 3, hot on the heels of the two legend above him.
Mayweather and Roy Jones are 4 and 5.
Pacquiao will be considered by all as the greatest fighter since Muhammed Ali after he beats Floyd.
on these threads with polls people don't even post anything to support their choice
Roy Jones and Pernell Whitaker never clearly lost until they were in their 30's, were clearly the best of their era...Manny Pacquaio aint got **** on a prime Jones and Sweet Pea....they had no rivals because they were that dominant
Pacquaio is the most popular fighter on this website, so him not topping a poll or being near the top wont be a surpriseComment

this is NSB, a message Board where 80% of the people don't know how to score a fight, never boxed, trained, haven't been a fan very long, didn't take the time to watch past greats, or sparred

Roy Jones and Pernell Whitaker were just plain better than Manny Pacquaio who is also great
last time a check losses count
Mayweather, Jones, and Whitaker are better than both JMM and Hopkins in my book
these guys fought great competition and beat em in their prime....that matters no matter how you slice itComment
