I think Pacquiao's win over Cotto is the equivalent of Duran's over Iran Barkley, which was a contentious decision at best. Pac's very good wins are more in number and higher in quality, though Duran has one of the best wins in boxing history over Sugar Ray Leonard in his prime.

There is no way Wlad is on a list for greatest fighter, he's never fought one.
Mayweather in his younger years could qualify but he stopped fighting a long time ago. Manny gets a nod for his willingness and heart.

actually i saw it a close but clear win for duran. the 4 punch he landed against barkley was a thing of beauty.

The contentious fight would have to be hagler vs duran. it was close. it showed how great duran was.

Why? Comparing Pac with Leonard's or other ATGs doesn't look that bad. I can understand Wlad but definitely not Pac.

I take it it's a race/flag thing?
