Isn't naming yourself Pac=Duran pretty much admitting that at best Pac can only ever hope to be equal to Duran? Or did beating Chris Algieri and Brandon Rios put him over Duran?

Just thought that Mayweather's legacy will be more on PROFOUND SKILLS with UNFOUNDED OPPONENTS. Whereas Pacquiao has fought more and more quality opponents.

Pac had a more dynamic and dramatic rise because of his size and the manner in which he dismantled them. Mayweather again, should be given his due....his superlative skills admired by many - namely counter punching and uncanny ability NOT TO GET HIT.

The legacy of these fighters will change depending on the result of this fight. You're living in a fantasy world if you don't believe that.

It's saying that their careers have been remarkably similar. Domination and action style at lower weights then make insane jumps in weight and fight guys at the highest level grabbing stellar wins and loads of title, then knocked out horrifically and come back and beat top competitors, Duran with a middleweight title victory over Barkley which i thought he lost tbh, and Pacquiao with a great win over Bradley. Very similar.

Pacquiao has a higher quantity of very good wins that Duran, though Durans win over SRL is obviously the clincher in most people's eyes.

The reason why Duran is thought of as so great is because of the way he went up through the divisions, feats which Pacquiao has surpassed.
Add ledwaba and the thailand legend sasakul.

I don't. Only for the people, yes...but to me it is more of a money-making-issue than the actual pugilistic legacy. Again, to be fair, if this fight have occured 5-6 years ago when both are in their prime - it would easily trump the magnitude of ALI-FRAZIER rivalry - and who knows perhaps there would have been a rematch or a trilogy BY NOW.

Would I watch it? Certainly! But they are both a shadow of their own glorious selves.

Yeah for sure should have been a trilogy by now.

The fact that Pac has put his name up there with these legends shows he's the greatest of this era. When it's all said and done Pacquiao will be thought of as the greatest to ever lace them up.
