    Calzaghe.

Would ward make it to the HOF if he retired today?

actually, that's a very fair and accurate point that I overlooked.

        2. Drained dawson
        3. Out of prime kessler
        4. Abraham

I would say wards resume is slightly better, his best wins where more convincing.
Roy Jones isn't one of Calzaghe's best wins.

Currently Joe. Ward is wasting away his prime and I don't know if he'll get enough big fights to surpass Joe. Make no mistake this is all Ward's fault. Ward would at some point have to move up to LHW and capture the belt.

              Well lets see...

Resume wise its Ward by quite a bit...Ward's wins over Froch and or Dawson would prolly be considered his best win...Calzaghes best win is prolly Kessler or Hopkins...In either case Ward's best wins are clearly superior to Calzaghe's in both depth & substance...

One could logically argue that Joe may have an advantage over Ward in a head to head matchup( although I would disagree)...but to say Calzaghes resume is equal to or surpasses that of Andre Ward would be lacking in both reason & merit...

Of course he would! but yes, Calzaghe has had the better career as we speak.

Ward doesnt have to ever lace up a pair of gloves again...His resume is ALREADY superior...

Whether he is currently wasting away the prime of his career is of no consequence in regards to the question at hand...

Would froch because froch has a deeper resume than ward ?

                      It's arguable.

                      Their resumes are basically even.

                      Ward's a much better fighter H2H IMO.

                      I'd probably lean on Ward.
