Lets hope fights like Guerrero vs Thurman and Garcia vs Peterson or other fights on a lessor level that are equal matchups are the norm and not the exception, whether NBC or one of his other network outlets. My guess is very simple - he has to protect his investments and that means protecting his fighters to the point where they fight setups until they have to step up due to ranking or because his guys are mandatories or in line for a title fight or because of public outcry. Lets see if he puts them in tough which seems to go against his agenda of investments. We will see.
Those are small time shows designed for prospects. Those are GBP cards. Besides, young fighters still have to be built up. You of all people know this.

I can't see him working against his own interest too often, no "promoter" does that much. Take danny for example-he fought Matts and Herrera and Salka, that's only one bogus fight. Did danny do what he was supposed to do against Herrera-no, but that's because Herrera was better than most thought. he was matched tough.

I think he's going to make great fights on the NBC cards, supported by fights that make his young guys do well. All promoters/networks do this.

Leo Santa Cruz is another example. Its clear he is being kept away from Rigo as of now. But if he fights jhonny, mares or wlaters those are great fights, despite the group of NSB posters that decide they will kill any fight Haymon is involved in unless its exactly the fight they want. They don't do that in any other situation.

All we can judge is what we have so far, and its really good.

**** LSC! That dude is a straight up Baby Back *****!!! Any man who laces up a pair of gloves and throws them thangs is by no means scared which warrants my respect to the highest degree. But when one man avoids another in fear of a loss especially when both men are championship belt holders that is a straight up ***** MOVE! I love my mexican boxers. I support them guys to the fullest as we leave it all in the ring win or lose. But my main man Rigondeaux got this fool shook up like an Elvis Presley track.

It can't be great because of the non-unification bs and they're not fighting at JWW. It loses more than some of the significance.

the fighters are still both world class fighters, that doesn't change. but your points are fair, can't argue.

I am really disappointed there will be no rigo v lsc fight. I'm a big LSC fan. I doub t he'd win but I was hopeful he could pull a chavez v taylor and wear Rigo down and win late.

I only hope Haymon is going to make rigo fight later this year but I highly doubt it.

Arum keeps his guys away from rigo. Haymon advises his guys to stay away from him. I really feel bad for Rigo, he's too good for his own good.

I bet walters would fight him at 126.
