Haymon won't care if Walters sits on the shelf, it stops them from overtaking his guys at the top of FW division.
two fights to go, with basically 5 of the top 10 guys at the weight with Arum (Haymon only has Mares, with a relationship with Gonzalez too), so not sure what the hang up is.

Haymon puts the screws to Top Rank/HBO, gets Walters his due in purses, and then really puts the squeeze to HBO when the deal comes free.

HBO is not gonna let Haymon put the screws on them for Nick Walters lol. They'd invested a ton more in the more marketable Broner, and let him go when they kicked Haymon out.

Promoters are to operate at the behest of the fighter, not the other way around.

Cotto saw the light; Stevenson saw the light; hopefully Lomachenko gets the opportunity to see the light.

If Loma truly wants certain fights, he'll have his management push his promoter to get him the fights, regardless of how his promoter feels about making said fight.

like a fighter in this new order should.
This thing he's starting up is a league, so that's fracturing the sport by definition. Whether it's good or bad, we'll see, but the economics seem sketchy.

Adapt to new order of things lol. These promoters are licking their chops cause the only networks that pay major money for boxing are HBO and SHO. Haymon is out at HBO, and pretty much burned bridges at SHO.

No bridges have been burned at Showtime. Cut the BS.

I'm not even talking any Moonves rumors, I'm saying they better be aggrieved if they had any self respect. Remember the fanfare when GBP/Haymon took their guys to Showtime, how it's a new era, SHO overtaking HBO, etc. Last year was the worst for Showtime since I remember watching, and this one is looking even more dire, with nothing on the schedule.

Haymon's main leverage Floyd is on his last legs, and proving to be a very expensive mistake for SHO with that contract structure. To add insult to injury, Haymon milked them for mismatches while saving the better fights he promised them for another network, as his fanboys here love to point out. If the Pac fight doesn't happen and Floyd goes against Canelo May 2, that should be the last straw

His split Promoter is one of haymons hoes. So if true and the fight does not happen like kovalev-stevenson or quillin-3G,rigondeux-santa cruz, who would of won? Curious
If he is signed with Bob Arum, he will be fighting under Arum's terms, regardless of whether Haymon is in the picture or not. If the contract states he owes Arum five fights, Arum will decide who he fights, when and on what network. Haymon might help him get a little more money, but that it all he will be able to do. If Haymon did sign him and he tries to veto one of Arum's decisions, Walters will sitting on the shelf for the next five years with no fights.

On another issues, I don't believe anything Fat Dan says. Fat Dan has about as much credibility as the skunk I saw running across my neighbor's yard a couple of days ago.
