Once you are champion, you are required to fight the best but too many times people get passes for this.

If he wasn't or isn't ready, don't be champ.

I get that he doesn't want to face Povetkin. I just hope whoever he fights is someone who earned their shot.

I agree. He needs to fight somebody at least in the top three. He's fought enough stiffs and he'll never hey better fighting boxer's who can't fight back. Stiverne was a good test and he needs to build on that.

However I don't blame him for not going to Moscow to fight Povetkin. If Povetkin wants it he'll have to fight here.

Povetkin is the A-side, Russia is HW central, he won't make $10 million anywhere else, go to Russia.

Yeah, agree. I think that the only way the fight will happen is if it goes to purse bid because the Russians will win. They beat Wlad's team's offer by 10 million last time that happened.

              We're not saying tomorrow.

But I don't think he should get a soft touch home defense period.
Do a home defense but against someone good and I am cool.

I feel like the top WBC guys are Povetkin, Fury, and Glasov.

Any of those three would be great as Jennings will be busy preparing to get beat up by Wlad.

So much for Wilder fighting anyone. For 10 mill he should swim to Russia and back. ****ing p*ssy, I hope he fights Fury next cause he's getting that belt took off him.

Povetkin would be a voluntary defence so a rematch clause would be in place should he get robbed or lose. Go back to America and make more for the rematch.

The only way this isn't a duck is if he fights someone more deserving than Povetkin such as Fury.
this coming from the guy that doesnt want frampton fighting rigo cuz "it makes no financial sense and rigo is boring" stfu with your double standard in that particular area

He wouldn't even get close to that for a unification with Wladimir!

The money is in Moscow! He will do well to get 1/10th of that fighting any other fighter but Wladimir.
This is why I respect Stiverne, 1 mill and he'd of boarded the next plane over to Russia!
Dan, look beyond your hate for wilder. Would you expect rigondeaux to give up home advantage and end up getting robbed by Frampton just to make a few extra bucks? Wilder will become very marketable if he keeps his zero, 10 mil will be nothing in the near future.
