How shot was Lennox Lewis when he steelfisted Vitali

So I was looking at this fight again tonight but just last night I was watching Lewis Holyfield and damn .. it looks like two totally different fighters

Lewis was way past prime yet he still managed to beat Vitali into submission via 6th round tko

Does this show how great Lewis was or how **** Vitali is?

Discuss what makes you think he was prime or shot

    for example

I think he was shot because he was plodding about like the Homer Simpson when he fought Drederick Tattum

lennox didn't look too old in his previous fight with Tyson. he wasn't shot but he obviously also wasn't in his best shape. still,,,I think vitali would have always given any lennox fits but lose the majority of the time. lennox was just a little better

and thats your whole opinion towards this... I must come see your 5 star threads sometime... its a genuine question that you're scared to even think about because Vitali and Lewis would Blow Wlad out of the water way past both their primes

Lewis turned pro at 23. Won his first world title at 27. Sparked by McCall at 29, bizarre rematch at 31 after McCall lost to Bruno. Sparked again by Rahman at 35, Lennox returned the favor at 36 in impressive fashion. Beat Vitali at 37 and subsequently retired.

So when exactly was his prime and when did he become "shot?"I realize that you're just trolling and don't expect a serious response.

He was looking at retirement, trained easier for what he thought would be a routine title defence until the opponent switch, was heavier and slower than ever....yet he still busted Vitali's face and stopped him.

No trolling here... I'm not talking about what he did in accomplishments ,being such a heavy and skilled man its not suprising he could still have big wins even though he was in the twilight of his career.. I'm talking about his ability wise ,footwork, reflex, handspeed, workrate and punch resistance=shot

Lewis looked like he had lead in his feet against Vitali and I was simply comparing it to the younger version that was popping an amazing jab and dancing about like Ali against Holyfield... and his workrate was crazy for such a big man

So prime at 34 against Holyfield. Shot to pieces at 37 vs Vitali. Well we're narrowing it down. I'll try again. When was Lennox's prime and when did he become "shot?"

I guess you've never watched HBO boxing or heard the phrase "old overnight" in boxing.. it all varies from boxers the night they become shot.. you're giving me a question to my question ..I believe he was shot in the Vitali fight but was that good he stuck in there with all his experience and delivered on sheer will, but his timing was off,no workrate and his feet were lead.. what about you?

I'm not even sure if he was prime in the Holyfield fight.. but he was ten times better than the night he faced Vit
