Umm FIomo big difference... Manny making $40 is less than double what he already makes fighting anyone... it's about $17 mil more...

Floyd makes $31 mil..and would make $150 mil with 60%...you want to give Floyd 80% or some crazy number like that... that's like $200 mil...

Who is getting the bigger pay raise in the fight under those conditions...

Now under 60/40 or something sensible like that... it's worth it for Manny...

Either way... fight is 3 years too late... so I couldn't care less anymore..I'm rooting for the fight not happening...

Moonves never mentioned sign the contract in that interview. He only said I hope they get it done there is enough money in it for everybody. TMZ lied and said that he stated that to get there interview more hits which it did.

If that's the case, TMZ needs to be shut down for false quotes.

Floyd v. Cotto 2= not buying Cotto as a serious contender because he beat an ESPN2 fighter and an inactive, old, Sergio coming off of a major injury...

It's actually quite simple... If Manny accepted an 80-20 split or $40 mil flat... he already makes $23 mil per fight...

He'd be making 17 mil more for the biggest fight in the history of boxing...

Floyd making even 60-40 makes $150 mil..

Floyd makes $31 mil per fight

Manny can make 80-20 or $40 in two fights without Floyd...

How many fights does Floyd need to make to make $150 mil at $31 mil per fight? There is no Canelo out there anymore for Floyd...

FIomos don't want understand how it just doesn't make any sense for Manny's side..they just want to focus on defending Floyd..

I think we should compare the PPV numbers for Pacquiao-Bradley (last U.S. fight for Pac) vs. Mayweather-Maidana 2 (last U.S. fight) which had comparable undercards... and those PPV buys should decide the percentage of the money split... if only we could only get Floyd to permit Showtime to release the numbers lol..

Mayweather: "Pacquiao has terrible PPV numbers" But won't release his own PPV numbers for his last fight ROFL... I really cracked up when I heard Floyd bring up PPV numbers...

This fight is happening at least 3 years too late... and Floyd is still acting like Pac is a low-level opponent with horrible PPV numbers... so I don't see, based on Floyd's comments, why he's even "negotiating" the fight...

Floyd saying Pac has horrible PPV numbers is basically saying that Pac isn't a worthy opponent and Floyd doesn't need him... so let's end the negotiations and move on.. I'm sure Floyd can make the same money fighting any other opponent as he can Pac (because other opponents go on the Today show and are asked about fighting Floyd too)...

Floyd saying that Pacquiao has horrible PPV numbers is basically saying that Pac doesn't deserve 40% of the take, which is rational. If Floyd is gratious enough to even offer 65/35, Pacquiao should take the money, get his whoopin, and hope that he's able to keep enough of said purse to manage some of that tax bill.

why do u think manny is a contender he beat an injured bradley and espn's own chris algier...and he couldnt stop them like cotto did both of his guys...

PACQUIAO NEVER SAID HE WAS AFRAID OF NEEDLES.... see pac vs morales 1 as to why he didn't want testing close to the fight. Pac has also had an interview in which he explained why.

We cool but you know that when it came to that Morales fight Manny had 3 excuses for his performance. They were his socks, then his gloves and last but not least was the blood testing. His reason about the blood testing came weeks after Manny gave the other 2 reason.

Just saying that you shouldn't even bring that up when debating someone about Manny and blood testing IMO.

I'm not even saying its not a real issue for some people but for Manny to say that weeks after 2 other excuses sort of take some of the validity away from it. Well to me at least.

Sort of like how people are mad at Floyd with his I don't want to do business with Arum thing. Can't say its not valid but why didn't Floyd say that from the get go instead waiting years to say it.
