You realize that cotto hasn't had one purse over 20 mill in his ENTIRE CAREER and pacquiao has had purses of over 20 million for the last 6 years years. HAHA WHAT A MORON!!!!
Pacquiao did 400k PPV buys for the Rios fight, just over $7m at the gate for the Bradley fight (700k PPV buys), and maybe 300k PPv buys for the Algieri fight.

The actual split on Mayweather-Cotto was likely a touch wider than 75/25 (to offset going up to the full 154 and giving Cotto his due as champion), but where is the justification for Pacquiao to get significantly better terms than Cotto?

Pacquiao owns the least of the 4 sanctioned world titles at the weight, has lost two fights in the two years, will open up as a 3:1 underdog, and heads into the fight with his PPV business being what it is.

75/25 is excessive, but it gets tricky justifying Pacquiao getting much closer than 70/30, all things being considered.

Nothing new. It's expected. Everyone knows it's him that is holding up the fight, not HBO, Arum, Pac, etc. Pac is basically treated as just another one of this opponents. It's insulting.

pac has about 5 more ppv then floyd..some he was not even A side in..to totality of things is not a good margin

its wat have u done for me lately and u know that..everythign changed when pac dropped to 450k and 300k while floyd still didi 2 million or close to 1 million...signin 200 million contracts with network..while hbo wont even release pacs deal b/c its likely no where near comparable

Should we include who had more expensive undercards? The fact Floyd fought Oscar when Oscar was at his peak in popularity and Floyd was established.. Manny fought Oscar when Manny was still not widely known...

Manny vs Marquez 3 = More PPVs than Floyd-Marquez that was around the time both were on top..

Manny vs. Cotto did 1.25 mil... and Floyd-Cotto did 1.5 with Canelo-Mosley on the undercard... Canelo-Mosley on its own would do at least 400K if not much more... Canelo does 350K with nobodies...

Manny vs. Tim Bradley 2 last year did almost as much as Floyd-Maidana and Floyd-Maidana 1 had the most expensive undercard of all time... Floyd-Maidana 2 = no PPVs released...

I still don't even see how Floyd deserves 60/40..but if he's asking for more... Manny should just move on and not waste his time negotiating... Let's actually discuss fights that can actually happen... You can't do that with Floyd because he has so many conditions every fight..it's unpredictable...

Then fight cotto in Sept. would you agree that you are in the extreme minority, and 95% of the sports world and 95% of boxing fans would rather see Mayweather Pacquiao in a rematch with Cotto

there are so many things to look at. Opponents, fight location, quality of undercard,
there is no doubt that may weather is getting better numbers, and as such, he is entitled to at least 60%. Regardless, again, at this point, I really don't care. Get it done. If this fight falls apart because they're 5% apart on the pursed splits, then everyone is to blame. But if there's an agreement for the split, or no one brings that up as a reason, then we know Mayweather just wouldn't sign the dotted line

If anything, you're disrespecting Pacquiao, an all-time great and current great fighter by saying he's not even a contender. It's absolutely absurd

Edit.... we've seen cotto fight and we haven't seen pac . But now is the time to finally fight Pacquiao. Anything else is unacceptable and I think 95% of boxing fans agree
well i dont have to accept the numbers game of 95%..i know boxing bette than that 95% more than likely..didnt say pac wasnt competitive i simply showed u how cotto's ko's are higher in his last six at a higher weight while manny cant stop or knock down hurt bradley or stop espn's own chris algier...hell even rios made it allt he way through..cotto fought the stiffer competition as well imo..wed saw ali frazier 3 times but all we do is praise those 2..anothe contradiction..i wont hold against either guy if htey are in good fights regardless im watching..and buy..
