Most 'money fighters' fight 2-3 times per year and, in Haymon's entire stable, there may be 15 fighters who fit that criteria right now, with basically everyone else being promising prospects or fading veterans

Ask the question in 2-3 years.

Thats what I was thinking. Soon a promoter's job is going to be nothing more than supplying a licence for Haymon fights.

This plus that mandatory USADA testing may build a pseudo-commission for the sport. Seems great.

You should sign with arum maybe you can get a PAC fight after Vargas or get rios vs Alvarado 16 or PAC vs Bruno Mars...Al will show and probe why he's the smartest guy in boxing ...his first client was my friend Vernon Forrest RIP...finally someone who cares about the fighters ...not these thieves like arum and king...I can't wait to see prospects not just the big name fighters

I'm starting to think that's the plan. The thing is most of these guys he's signing are unknowns. Don't know if ratings are going to be there if the big names are not fighting.

To take a page out of Bob Arum's book, I lied yesterday. Today, I am telling the truth. Yesterday (actually a few months ago), I said 2015 would be a terrible year for boxing. Today, I am saying that 2015 is going to be one of the best year's ever for boxing fans, thanks in part to Al Haymon.

Really. I guess there is no confusion now with interim champions, regular champions and super champions, not to mention Champions Emeritus.

Nobody gives a damn what happens in the near future and nobody really gives a dam about the intentions of PBC. Right now, we have already seen one decent heavyweight matchup and we are going to see Garcia/Peterson and Guerrero/Thurman in consecutive months. In addition, we are going to see Kovalev/Paschal and possibly Mayweather/Pacquaio and we will see all of these fights in the first six months of this year. That is more quality fights than we all in all of 2013 and 2014 combined.

I don't give a damn if Haymon's goal is to take over the world as long as he continues to give us quality fights and I believe he will do that.

Cons: What will happen with other fighters under other promotional companies? I speak about a many fighters now. I don't include Pac, Froch, JMM and Hopkins cause I think they will retire one year later but: Roman Gonzalez, Estrada, Rigo, Frampton, Loma, Walters, Gradovich, Mikey Garcia, Crawford, Provo, Algieri, Matthysse, Brook, Bradley, Canelo, Golovkin, Cotto, Ward, Groves, Kovalev, Makabu, Pascal, Mchunu, Usyk, Huck, Wlad, Jennings, Perez, Povetkin, Pulev, Joshua...

And I surely forgot about some names. The big question: Will the NBC showcase them too or they'll only showcase the Haymon fighters. Any chance for a non Haymon fighter to get in this PBC world (league?)? Because we talk about many good/great fighters here. A legaue would be cool where the best fights the best but not a league where only the Haymon's best fights the Haymon's best and no chance at all that they will fight any other fighters under different promotional companies. It would be horribel if Haymon would separate his fighters even more and make the cold war even more colder.
You make some good points. I think those fighters that you mention will be fine because there is still HBO and Showtime. Since HBO and Showtime won't have any of the Haymon fighters, they will have no choice but to feature these other fighters on their network.

What Haymon is doing will allow about 150 boxers who normally wouldn't get any or would get very little exposure on HBO and Showtime to get exposure on network television. They will build their fanbases and some of them will become the next Floyd Mayweather or Manny Pacquaio or Oscar De La Hoya and will be able to get big fights on PPV. It is good for boxing.

Most of the fighters you mentioned are already fighting on HBO and I doubt HBO would want to lose them to a network broadcast. Also, if I were Al Haymon and I paid millions of dollars to get exposure for my fighters on network television, I wouldn't allow fiighters not signed to my company to fight on one of my cards. If a promoter wants their fighters to get this type of exposure, he or she should buy airtime themselves. Once Haymon's fighters earn their way to a mandatory shot at a championship that is not held by a Haymon fight, they can hold that fight on HBO or Showtime and collect a rights fee from HBO or Showtime to cover the purses..
